Protecting your instrument from these variables can help extend the operating life of your valuable pressure instruments. Pressure snubbers, pulsation dampeners and restrictor screws can all help smooth out readings and dampen the adverse effects of sudden pressure spikes. PLVs (Pressure Limiting Valves) in combination with a snubber can protect your instrument from prolonged periods of over pressure.
