Isolation Ring Test Bench

Colonial Instruments recently completed development of our new isolation ring (annular diaphragm seal) testing bench. Our standard testing medium is clean Nitrogen. With our new hydraulic press design we can now test iso-rings (annular seals) from ½” to 10” flange sizes without the necessity of bolting and unbolting flanges (we still offer and can test and calibrate 12” and larger sizes using traditional testing methods). Our new system allows for much greater time savings and overall improved efficiency in our instrument shop.

Iso-rings (annular seals) are extremely advantageous in water and wastewater treatment applications where clogging can be a concern. A properly sized iso-ring (annular seal) precisely matches the pipe diameter for smooth, unobstructed flow, self-cleaning operation and minimum turbulence and friction.
